MindForward Alliance was founded in 2012, in the wake of the financial crash, when poor mental health was widespread across the financial, legal and professional services sectors. Originally known as City Mental Health Alliance – senior business leaders came together, alongside our founder, Poppy Jaman, to form an Alliance of organisations to challenge the stigma that existed in the workplace and uncover the interventions that made a difference.
What began as a movement in the City of London has since grown into an international not-for-profit organisation. Over the years, we’ve worked alongside many different businesses, in different sectors, as they’ve faced incredibly complex challenges – from navigating a global pandemic and geopolitical conflict, to the rise of hybrid working and generational shifts in the workplace.
Our mission
Though the context has changed, our mission remains the same: to help businesses create sustainable, high performing workplaces where people and performance thrive. We still work closely with business leaders and experts, creating a team that understands the urgency and the opportunity for business, and who also recognise that that improving employee mental wellbeing creates a clear competitive advantage in today’s complex and often uncertain world.
